Great Locations Vol 1 - New Orleans City Park Botanical Garden - Portrait Session

Since I know a lot of my clients are working on planning weddings from out of state, I thought I'd start a little collection of great locations in New Orleans for weddings and shoots.   Starting off, we have New Orleans City Park's Botanical Garden, a great location at a very reasonable fee ($50).  I like the amount of shade within the botanical garden, and the wide variety of backgrounds to utilize.  You can also easily get some shots in other areas of the park once you've exhausted yourself within the actual botanical garden.  Keep in mind that the park closes at 5, so you'd want to schedule a session no later than 3:30pm.   My client Chelsea did a fantastic job staying cool and collected despite having to come in from Baton Rouge through a heavy storm and having a couple of other technical difficulties that pushed our timeframe a bit later than we wanted.  I used a variety of lenses - the 35mm 1.4, 24-70mm 2.8, 85mm 1.4 and the 70-200 2.8 to quickly get some different looks, and stayed within a small area to maximize our shooting time.  Here's a few of my favorites from the session:
